Michael Thiessmeier is a cybersecurity and AI executive, two-time Black Hat USA speaker, author of Polymorphic Agentic Cyberdefense, and institution builder working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cyber defense, national security, and international cooperation.
He is the Founder and President of Cyber Eagle and the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the U.S. National AI and Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Organization. Confirmed as the first foreign advisor to Latvia’s National Artificial Intelligence Center, his current work focuses on secure AI adoption, AI governance, critical-infrastructure resilience, and national resilience.

Michael Thiessmeier is a cybersecurity and AI executive, two-time Black Hat USA speaker, author of Polymorphic Agentic Cyberdefense, and institution builder working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cyber defense, national security, and international cooperation.
He is the Founder and President of Cyber Eagle and the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the U.S. National AI and Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Organization. He has been confirmed as the first foreign advisor to Latvia’s National Artificial Intelligence Center, where he will contribute an international perspective on secure AI adoption, governance, national resilience, and public-private cooperation.
Over more than two decades, he has served as a CISO, technology executive, board advisor, speaker, and author. His current work focuses on agentic AI, AI governance, polymorphic defense, critical-infrastructure resilience, cyber diplomacy, and the security implications of increasingly capable autonomous systems.
He is part of the Stanford GSB LEAD 2026 cohort. His public engagements include two Black Hat USA appearances, the Aerospace & Defense – Deep Tech Summit at AngelList during San Francisco Deep Tech Week, and an ISMG/GovInfoSecurity interview on authority controls for AI agents. He is also a member of the RAINCLOUD DEFENSE Speakers Bureau.
